Native of Béarn, the Pyrenees chain holds a special place in my life. Fascinated by its shades of blue and the appeasement they provide, I have, for a year, photographed and designed these Pyrenean landscapes. Thus was born my project Blue Landscape, as a love declaration to this setting, born of a desire to share the emotions I feel when I contemplate this panorama. Then I imagined a big artwork from my drawings.

In 2017, the meeting with Tissage Moutet, centenary French weaving workshop and « Living Heritage Company, made me want to make this Blue Landscape in textile material. Thus was born a beautiful collaboration with Tissages Moutet who took up this artistic and technical challenge. Two years have been necessary for the realization of this monumental project.

This artwork of more than 7 meters, entirely woven in Jacquard, was unveiled to the public for the first time at the Basque Museum of Bayonne from May to June 2019. In August 2019, the services of the Elysée Palace decided to expose the Blue Landscape in the heart of the Biarritz G7 Summit, at the sight of the Presidents, in front of the negotiations room. An honor for the work of art, whose course is not yet finished …

Native du Béarn, la chaîne des Pyrénées  occupe une place particulière dans ma vie. Fascinée par ses nuances de bleus et l’apaisement qu’ils procurent, j’ai, durant une année, observé, photographié et dessiné ces paysages pyrénéens. Ainsi est née l’oeuvre Blue Landscape, comme une déclaration d’amour à ce décor. J’ai imaginé une oeuvre à grande échelle à partir de mes dessins, pour partager, à ma façon, l’émotion ressentie à la contemplation de ce panorama.

En 2017, la rencontre avec Tissage Moutet, atelier de tissage français centenaire et Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, m’a donné envie de fabriquer ce Paysage Bleu – Blue Landscape en matière textile. Ainsi est née cette belle collaboration avec Tissage Moutet qui a relevé ce défi artistique et technique. Deux années ont été nécessaire à la réalisation de ce projet monumental complexe.

Cette oeuvre de plus de 7 mètres, entièrement tissée en Jacquard, a été dévoilée au public pour la première fois au Musée Basque de Bayonne de mai à juin 2019. En août 2019, les services de l’Elysée on souhaité exposer le Blue Landscape en plein coeur du Sommet du G7 de Biarritz, à la vue des Chefs d’Etats, face à la salle plénière des négociations. Un honneur pour l’oeuvre, dont le parcours n’est pas encore terminé…
