MEMORIA, Récits d’une autre Histoire – MUNCAB, Brésil

Exposition collective « Memoria : récits d’une autre histoire », commissariée  par Nadine Hounkpatin et Jamile Coelho.

Après Bordeaux (France), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Yaoundé (Cameroun) et Antananarivo (Madagascar), le Musée national de la culture afro-brésilienne (MUNCAB) à Salvador de Bahia et l’Ambassade de France au Brésil accueillent cette exposition itinérante, dans le cadre de la saison officielle France-Brésil 2025.

« Memoria : récits d’une autre histoire » revisite les récits historiques dominants à travers les voix d’artistes femmes africaines et de celles de la diaspora.

The group exhibition “Memoria: Stories of Another History”, curated by Nadine Hounkpatin and Jamile Coelho, is being held in Bordeaux (France), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Yaoundé (Cameroon) and Antananarivo (Madagascar). Following its presentations, the National Museum of Afro-Brazilian Culture (MUNCAB) in Salvador de Bahia and the French Embassy in Brazil are hosting this traveling exhibition as part of the official France-Brazil 2025 season. “Memoria: Stories of Another History” revisits dominant historical narratives through the voices of African women artists and those of the diaspora.
